She was skilled, beyond all of what Drenawx had expected of her. The other, newer models of machines had the capabilities in combat. He questioned it and wondered if she was feeling some sort of rage. But Kryptonite pointed out that this was no act of vengeance, she did so with little to no effect in each of her slashes. She was the finest fighter Kryptonite had ever seen.
"So, what happened to her?" Nova asked.
Kryptonite looked outside and saw as the sun had lowered, exposing the darkness of night across the land. He stood up and patted down his teddy buttocks, crossing his paws afterward.
"Well, that's all I can tell you actually." He answers.
"Aww, why!?" Atreyu asked, whining.
"I made a pact not to expose who she is."
"You mean, you made a pact with Blaze?" Nova asked.
"Right. She and I were a machine and wanted to escape from Drenawx's experiments. So we made it out no sweat!"
Nova looks over at Atreyu with uncertainty marked all over her face as she looked back at Kryptonite.
"Thank you, so much for this." She said.
Kryptonite nodded his head, looking behind him at a big box.
"And those materials you spoke about, here they are." Kryptonite points with his paw. "Blaze would be upset if she saw that this was gone, but I'm sure she'd understand.
Atreyu gasped, "Oh, I guess we almost forgot." He says as he walks over to the box and picks it up, struggling. "This is heavy! What the hell's inside this thing!?"
Kryptonite chuckles, "Bricks."
"BRICKS!?" Atreyu yells in disbelief as he drops the box right on his foot, screaming from the pain.
"Kryptonite?" A voice was heard outside the hut.
Kryptonite's button eyes widened from the sound, Nova quickly looked back at the door, and Atreyu rushed to cover up his scream as a reaction to the voice.
The door creaked open slowly as a woman peered her head in. She had the long silver hair and shining purple eyes Kryptonite explained previously. Nova and Atreyu stood speechless as this was obviously unexpected. Or they just forgot that she would probably live here as well. Blaze pushed open the door all the way, giving a slight glance to Nova and Atreyu, looking down at Kryptonite afterward.
"Who are they?" Blaze asked, with no emotion in her voice.
Kryptonite gulped in sudden fear as Blaze crossed her arms.
"We were just-" Atreyu began to explain.
Blaze kept the calm look on her face as she held her hand down on her hip, disappearing into a purple fog and appearing next to Nova, then disappearing again with the purple fog and appearing in front of Atreyu with a long sword pointed to his neck. Atreyu looked afraid of the unspoken threat, looking into Blaze's eyes. She observed him for few moments, looking back into his eyes.
"Get the hell out," Blaze spoke softly, letting her long sword shatter into a similar purple fog.
Atreyu nodded quickly as he picked up the box with no struggle and rushed out the open door, with Nova backing out of the room and rushing after him. Blaze faced the table where her picture was laying. She blinked as she stayed quiet before turning her head to where she could spot Kryptonite on the corner of her eye.
"I-I'm s-sorry, Blaze! I-I can explain!" Kryptonite hesitantly spoke.
"Shut up." She responded. "Pack your stuff, we need to leave now."
Journal Entry III
Remembrance
I remember what made my anger rage. I remember what made my sadness cry. But I don't remember when my happiness laughed.
We were a race of pure secrecy. Before the Fairies were created. Before the Dragoona existed. We were secret, we were harmless, and we were a happy race. Just looking at us would make someone smile and grow a light within their dark hearts. Though one day one of our own grew a darkness none of our kind was able to receive, or feel. I have never seen any of my people sad, or mad. Everyone has always been as happy as the sun shined above us.
We were all a family. We knew the world outside was pure darkness, and that it'd grow even darker, but we never knew one of the world's sources of darkness had resided inside our very own village. The darkness within them was nothing I've ever seen before. My people, butchered before my eyes with no sense of regret, or remorse, or guilt. Just rage. As the one with the rage set fire on our land. Our home, his home, and left to live in the darkness of his heart.
My heart felt cold, as I urged the feeling of vengeance. I wanted to become stronger, strong enough to bring revenge to the ones who died before him. But I just couldn't. I didn't have the will to become stronger. I lost the battle and had to look up to others to help me stand on my two feet again.
My friend, my best friend died as he was attempting to fulfill his destiny, the destiny he did not wish to have in the first place. He did it for his friends, he died fighting something he had no match of fighting, fighting something he did not entirely understand. It was something I felt I had to come to understand before my time to pass into the New World.
Time passed as my friend ended the fight. The world changed, and all of his friends, including me, or assisted him in his fight separated. Each of us disappeared from each other's memories. From each other's hearts. I don't know which one is worse. But I didn't forget him. I traveled far and wide throughout Izequin before it just became known as The Land of Ruin.
I soon forced myself to quit what my true goal was. I gave up trying to understand what it was that killed my people, and my friend. Why was I the only last being of my kind to live on? There was no purpose, time and time had passed, taking a toll on my body as I felt like I was dying off.
I closed my eyes and saw him. I got the urge to want to be strong. For all that I have lost in my life. But then his face appears in my mind, right in front of my eyes, and I scream. He's forcing me to lose hope. To lose hope in everything he's ever wanted.
But then he saw another face in the distance. A face that filled his heart with hope and the will to fight, the face was unfamiliar until he had seen her face. The face of whom will help him on his own personal quest for vengeance, Blaze.
Verse IX
A Dragon of the Wrong Blood
Within the past few moments, the crisis that was on hand within the Resurrection of Humanity was quite obvious. Drakkar had a lot on his mind, he stared out the window most of the time, wondering what his next move had to be. He was usually quick with how to get back at the enemy, but he was at a loss for words. He watched the dragons fight up in the air, but he could only thrust his fist at the stone wall of the castle as he stared with rage in his face.
"Looks like the rest of Humanity is at a loss. Between you, Atreyu and I, I don't think there are many humans out there." Densetsu muttered on as he leaned against the doorway of the room Drakkar was residing in.
Drakkar shook his head. He finally stepped away from the sight of the battle in the air, seeing sight through the tall window. He stood by the throne, leaning his arm on one of the armrests and looked to be deep in thought.
"Well? I've been waiting all this time." Densetsu says as he approaches Drakkar. "Is it time to strike back yet?"
Densetsu heard the growls of Drakkar's frustration before he responded.
"Will you shut it!" He shouted, facing away from him.
Densetsu chuckled, crossing his arms, "You're joking, right? You got nothin'? We can try to find and kill that machine girl, and while we're at it, we can take out Atreyu. Obviously, he helped her escape, they must still be around each other." Densetsu spoke aimlessly as he thought of a plan himself, frustrated by the wait of Drakkar.
"You fucking idiot, do you think I would've eliminated Atreyu if he didn't serve a proper purpose in my plans!?" Drakkar yelled loudly as he finally turned toward Densetsu.
Densetsu raised an eyebrow, "... What plan?"
Before they knew it, they heard a bit bang outside. Both Drakkar and Densetsu rushed toward the tall window to see how the dragon battle escalated. They saw Bastion on fire, as he would fall down s
traight into the Forgetful Forest. The other dragon roared loudly, waves of strong winds pushed against the walls of the castle, cracking them slowly.
"Find cover!" Densetsu shouted as he rushed outside.
Drakkar stood there, showing no fear as the stones of the walls blew away with the winds. The Dragoona glanced into the destroyed castle, narrowing his eyes at the sight of him. He flew down by the castle, crashing down onto the ground and roared right into the body of Drakkar. Densetsu watched as he was clear on the way to the castle, seeing as Drakkar endured the powerful roar of a Dragoona. The Dragoona stared down at Drakkar, exposing its deep red eyes.
"I don't sense much stench anymore, I must've wiped out your entire worthless village." The Dragoona spoke with aggression.
Drakkar scoffed, "Almost, but you forgot me."
"You are powerful, for a human. But don't overestimate yourself. Your power is still severely limited."
Drakkar hands formed tight fists as he looked up at the Dragoona. The Dragoona was dark, as black as the world had become. The wings he had were large, his teeth were long and sharp, and it physical shape looked to have helped him become fast and strong. Drakkar raised his arm in the arm and with a red aura around his hand, a greatsword materialized in his hand's grip. The Dragoona watched in amusement.
"You are no human, I see." The Dragoona speaks, but he roared as he continued, "But you cannot even think of competing against a God?"
Drakkar did not speak, he held the greatsword with both of his hands as a wave of red aura formed around him, generating some kind of power around him.
"That's right. Let the power, the emotion consume you." The Dragoona spoke again as he raised the arm, flapping his wings and creating wild winds around them, creating a force field. "I am Dragoona Zephyr, I offer a trail to you, Drakkar. Win, and you get control of a God. Lose, and your life will be mine for the taking."
Drakkar grunted before jumping high in the air toward Zephyr and attempting to slash the dragon, but he swooped upward with a huge gust of wind. The gust of wind shot Drakkar down to the ground, but he used the strength of his legs to bounce off the ground and shoot right back up at Zephyr. Drakkar slashed the dragon a few times, but the blade could not penetrate the defensive power of a Dragoona's scales.
Zephyr looked up at Drakkar and gasped at his surprisingly impressive speed, and began to breathe fire from his mouth. Drakkar narrowed his eyes as he spread his arms open and twirled his body around, gaining speed as he his falling speed only gained in speed. As his own body caught on fire from the speed, he passed right by the dragon fire and shot into Zephyr's torso, more or less the dragon's only soft spot of his body. With the impact, he and Drakkar fell down and hit the ground, creating a huge explosion and wave that shot Densetsu from the field, hitting a tree.
With the dragon laying underneath him, and his soft spot exposed, Drakkar raised his blade and swung down to finish the battle and claim victory, but the dragon vanished into a black fog before his blade could stab him. He looked up quickly and saw the dragon up in the air as if he hadn't even taken any sort of damage yet.
"I will not lose to a being like you," Zephyr shouted.
The dragon looked up in the air and roared louder. The roar changed in tone and grew of a higher tone as circle materialized around him. A yellow circle, with divine symbols sifting around the circle. He hung his head down toward Drakkar and shot a powerful yellow beam down. Drakkar gasped, and swung his sword up, creating a red ball from the tip of his blade. The red ball absorbed power and energy from Drakkar and shot up a red beam toward Zephyr. The two beams rushed fast in the air toward each other, each beam sounding very different as they moved, but they have begun harmonizing in some way.
Upon impact, a blinding light emerged from the beam's impact. Densetsu covered his eyes with his arm, screaming from the peering light's effect on him. Zephyr fell back, as the light even affected him. It took a while before the light gave away, but as the dragon opened his eyes, he saw a figure standing on his soft spot. His sight was blurred, but it slowly came into focus as the face of Drakkar appeared. He looked angry, but Zephyr noticed half of his face have given away as from the light's power. Half of his face looked normal, but the damaged half showed what was truly inside his head. He could see silver, machine parts. His eye was bloodshot, and hanging from its socket. But the dragon's gasped as black web-like substances grew from the inner part of his body and covered his exposure, leaving that half of his face completely black, apart from his deep red eye. His other eye shown a more normal color of silver.
"To think a machine would want to act the part of a filthy human!" Zephyr shouted, roaring up at Drakkar.
Drakkar frowned, "Admit defeat, dragon." He spoke calmly, piecing his blade into the soft spot of the dragon slightly.
Zephyr roared differently, a roar higher like he had experienced what pain felt like for the first time. He panted after the roar, looking back up at Drakkar with scary looking eyes.
"I suppose... I would have the decency to admit my defeat." Zephyr hesitantly spoke.
"Then a pact or I kill you right now."
"A pact? We'd be tied together for all of the eternity! We would share our hearts, or memories, or emotions. Could you handle the might of a dragon?"
Drakkar narrowed his eyes at Zephyr, "I have no choice."
"I see, humans aren't the only predictable ones."
Drakkar opened his hand and let his greatsword dematerialize back into the red aura. He accepted the offer for a pact. He wanted to right his wrongs, along with his other desires. He held up his hand and placed it firmly on the dragon's head. The two of them closed their eyes, as a dark radiance circled them. Zephyr roared, while Drakkar shook and screamed into the air. An invisible force slashed both of them, the cut on Drakkar's wrist allowed him to drop his blood down into Zephyr's cut, while Zephyr's blood dripped upward into Drakkar's cut. It was odd like there was no up or down, they were suddenly mixed up. Was Drakkar on top of Zephyr still, or was Zephyr flying over Drakkar? Drakkar took his hand away from the dragon and held his fist tightly as he overcame the pain. He watched as the same black web consumed the cut, and covered it up. His arm was shaking ferociously. He felt the pain, but the pain of it became more of a desire.
"D-Drakkar," Densetsu spoke quietly as he sneaked by him, observing the dragon.
Drakkar stood up slowly, turning his head to Densetsu enough for him to see the dark side of his face. Densetsu gasped, with his widened eyes.
"What happened to you?" He asked.
"I am no human, Densetsu." He admitted as he looked down at the blackened part of his arm, were his entwinement with the dragon happened. It was like a black patch.
"What are you then?"
"I'm a machine."
Densetsu yelled, "What? The thing we've been hunting down!? The thing we've been fighting against, what's been killing off the humans!?"
Drakkar turned toward Densetsu and jumped off the dragon. He stepped toward the Densetsu slowly, Zephyr turning around and getting back upright again.
"Exactly. Only now, you're forced to join me now." Drakkar spoke calmly, with a crazy look on his face.
He raised his arm toward Densetsu, as the ground beneath them became a black substance. Densetsu panicked as he looked down at his feet. The blackness slowly climbed over his feet, then his legs, and continued its way up his body. He couldn't move. He looked up at Drakkar and Zephyr. Their bodies were fully consumed by the blackness, even the dragon. But their eyes shined the redness. Drakkar materialized his sword from the red aura, and placed the tip on his face, cutting and carving onto his face a straight line of opening to serve as a mouth, as a mixture of black and red liquid poured out of his newly carved mouth, the dark matter of his heart and his blood.
He tossed his sword over to Densetsu, letting the steel of the blade be heard from the impact. Densetsu looked down at the blade, then back up at Drakkar.
"This is the power that destroyed the huma
ns. They were too weak to succumb to the emotion." Drakkar explains.
The dark matter climbs up Densetsu's neck, slowly consuming his face as he shut his eyes. He fell to his knees and grabbed onto his head firmly, screaming loudly as Drakkar and Zephyr watched patiently.
"Do you really think a human could hold that much rage?" Zephyr asked, observing Densetsu from behind.
A cracking sound was heard as he stopped screaming. His head fell to the side and his hands dangled down to his side. His face shook, and with great force, he forces his lips to part from the black matter, peeling and cutting, the mixture of red and black liquid poured out of his mouth. He stared down at the ground, panting heavily. But he eventually looked up at the two as he opened his eyes. His eyes had grown red, and his lips formed into a permanent, disturbing smile. He had become infect with the virus.
"He had a strong urge to kill. Killing is in his blood." Drakkar explained as he watched over Densetsu.
"What's our plan now, Drakkar?" Densetsu asked, speaking as the black and red liquid still spilled from his mouth.
"I just so happen to remember where a peaceful village of humans and machines reside."
